About
Donna K. Rice – Estate Planning Attorney & Grandparenting Advocate
Donna is an experienced estate planning attorney who has been practicing law since 1995. With nearly three decades focused on estate planning, she helps clients understand options and prepare for both disability and asset distribution issues we must each determine as we enter our elder years.
As a co-author of The Estate Planning Toolkit, she helped professionals realize the importance of working together to best provide for the needs of their clients. Attorneys, financial planners, insurance agents, and accountants all play important roles in helping clients best provide for their loved ones. She has spoken at legal conferences, sharing insights on practice management and interdisciplinary relationships.
Beyond legal practice, Donna is the founder of a popular grandparenting website, www.grandaprentingatoz.com, offering valuable online content on topics such as intentional grandparenting, legacy planning, forming great connections with grandchildren, and thriving in the grandparenting role no matter what challenges we might face. Through video, articles, and advice, she seeks to empower grandparents to play a meaningful, intentional role in the lives of both their children and grandchildren. Practicing in the area of estate planning has shown Donna the power of generational legacy and how each of us is blessed with the opportunity of creating that reality in our own families.
Donna graduated from the University of Denver, College of Law and is licensed in Indiana, Wyoming, and Colorado (currently inactive). She is a member of the American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys, Academy Wealth, Wealth Counsel, and the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys. She and her husband, Cliff, have practiced law together since 1996.
